We have a Power vault MD 1000 unit with 15 1TB drives. Yesterday one of the drives was flashing amber. Checking in the server administrator showed the drive was in a failed state. We had another constellation ES 1TB drive in house so, we pulled the failed drive and replaced it. We then went into the raid utility by rebooting and hitting cntr - r . The new drive was in a ready state so we set it as the hot spare. But, after completing the reboot. The drive began to flash amber. I'm not sure what the next step should be. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
