I have an MD3000i that experienced a sudden power loss. The system is not under warranty - in fact it is EOL with Dell.
After starting it back up, the management ports and iSCSI ports are not responding. e.g. no ping reply, no virtual disk access, no MDM access. I connected the serial diagnostic cable and got a coredump on each controller, along with this error:
(tRAID): ERROR: QLGetFwState: MBOX_CMD_GET_FW_STATE failed. Stat f000
I was advised that both controllers need to be replaced. So I've ordered them from a 3rd party source.
Since I don't have access to support, I was wondering what I would need to do when the parts arrive. Is it just as simple as swapping the parts and starting up? As I understand it, the RAID configuration is stored on the disks, but what about the controller config? e.g. IP settings.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
