Trying to Connect Multiple Diskgroups from One MD3200 DAS to One VM

Hi, I'm wondering if people can point me in the right direction for this or let me know if there is some kind of incompatibility with what I'm trying to do. I'm a bit new to VMware and it's workings, but from what I read what I'm doing should work.

I have an MD3200 DAS (with a few MD1200 shelves) that has a 2 different disk groups (2 LUNs) of about 11 TB each. Currently this is directly connected to a PowerEdge 2950s (Windows 2008R2 box) where both show up as one partition each. Now my current task is to virtualize our fileserver (PE 2950s) and migrate it to a new box which is a PowerEdge R630 that will be running VMware.

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to store the information while we recreate the RAID, and just want to keep the information on the array while we attach it directly to the new server and pass the connection through to the VM.

I've successfully P2V my old server and upgraded it from 2008R2 to 2012R2. I've also needed to migrate the host HBA (6Gb SAS card) to the PowerEdge R630 so I can connect the array to this new server.

My issue is that when I configure RDM on VMware for that specific VM, only one of the disk groups shows up at a time. I can see all the information still on those disk groups, but I can't get them to show up at the same time. I can disconnect one and the missing one will show up. The configuration shows the LUNs assigned, but only one shows up.

Anyone have experience with this?
